THE SESSION RULES - APRIL SESSION

Article 1

ORGANIZATION

L’association des Marathoniens de Ouarzazate et Eco Trail organisent la 12ème édition Eco Trail Morocco 2026 qui aura lieu du 14 au 17 avril à Ouarzazate dans le Sud du Maroc .

Article 2

EVENT OVERVIEW

ECO TRAIL MOROCCO est une course a pied au cœur des oasis en allure libre d’une distance de 70 km environ en 3 etapes ou une deuxieme epreuve d’une distance totale de 30 km environ en 3 etapes (3x10km) qui se deroulera du 14 au 17 avril 2026 a Ouarzazate dans le Sud du Maroc.

Eco Trail Morocco is open to walkers for the 30 km race across 3 stages. The event is also accessible to Joëlettes, with the requirement that there must be more than 6 assistants per Joëlette.

Article 3

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Eco Trail Morocco is open to any person over 18 years old, of any nationality, who accepts the rules and conditions of the race.
A medical certificate of "no contraindication to competitive running," dated no more than 2 months before the race start date, is mandatory for the 30 km (3 stages), 70 km (3 stages), and for walkers.

Eco Trail Morocco is open to walkers for the 30 km race across 3 stages.

Article 4

RACE SCHEDULE

14 AVRIL 2026

  • From 12:00 PM: Welcome of participants in Ouarzazate
  • À partir de 14h: Remise des dossards, vérifications techniques, administratives et médicales (chaque concurrent devra se présenter au commissaire de course et devra obligatoirement avoir rempli les conditions techniques et administratives prévues par l’organisateur)
  • 8:00 PM: Dinner, welcome dinner for participants, followed by a briefing.
  • 9:00 PM: End of the day, overnight at the hotel

1ST STAGE

15 APRIL 2026

  • Distance: Approximately 20 km and 10 km, with a simultaneous start. Participants in the 10 km event stop after completing 10 km and are transferred to the finish line of the 20 km event.
  • 06.00 Hour : breakfast.
  • 07.00 Time : Gathering at the front desk of the hotel to travel by bus on the place of the stage start.
  • 08.00 Hour : Start of the race.
    End of the stage, transfer back to the hotel.
  • 13.00 Hour : Lunch.
  • 19.00 Time : Evening of music, it will be hosted by the local folklore and briefing.
  • 20.00 Time : Dinner.

2ND STEP

APRIL 16, 2026

  • Distance: Approximately 24 km and 10 km, with a simultaneous start. Participants in the 10 km event stop after completing 10 km and are transferred to the finish line of the 24 km event.
  • 6:00 AM: Breakfast.
  • 7:00 AM: Gathering at the hotel reception to board the bus to the stage start location.
  • 08.00 Time :  Start of the race.
  • End of the stage, transfer back to the hotel.
  • 1:00 PM:  Lunch.
  • 7:00 PM: Musical evening, it will be hosted by the local folklore and briefing.
  • 8:00 PM: Dinner

3RD STEP

APRIL 17, 2026

  • Distance: Approximately 26 km and 10 km, with a simultaneous start. Participants in the 10 km event stop after completing 10 km and are transferred to the finish line of the 26 km event.
  • 6:00 AM: Breakfast.
  • 7:00 AM: Gathering at the hotel reception to board the bus to the stage start location.
  • 08.00 Time :  Start of the race.
  • End of the stage, transfer back to the hotel.
  • 1:00 PM:  Lunch.
  • 7:00 PM:  Awards ceremony and an evening of music, it will be hosted by the local folklore .
  • 8:00 PM:   Dinner.

18 APRIL 2026

  • 7:00 AM:   Breakfast
  • 9:00 AM:  End of the event and departure of participants.

Article 5

TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SCRUTINEERING.

Les vérifications auront lieu le 14 Avril 2026 à partir de 14 h
Each competitor shall present to the commissioner of the race. It must necessarily have completed the technical and administrative conditions laid down by the organization by presenting the original documents in the administrative record and the medical record.

ADMINISTRATIVE RECORD

To be returned to us by Email no later than one month before departure and present
le 14 Avril 2026 à partir de 14 h.

  •  The registration form is complete, signed and dated.
  •  The certificate of insurance repatriation.

You must provide the date of the control folder full registration .
  • The commitment form completed, dated and signed.
  • The photocopy of the valid passport.
  • 1 passport Photo.
  • The certificate of insurance repatriation.
  • The medical record.
MEDICAL RECORD

A medical certificate of “no contra-indication to running in competition” of less than 2 months from the date of start of the race.

If the documents could not be presented on the day of the audit, the race could be decided without reimbursement of expenses incurred.

COMPULSORY EQUIPMENT OF COMPETITORS
A camelback.
An eco-cup for the supplies.
Whistle.

Article 6

GUIDANCE ON THE COURSE

Participants must follow the signposting of the steps.
The route will be shown by tags every 500 meters.
Several points of natural landmarks, will be additional indications so that the participants remain on the axis of the course

 

Article 7

CONTROL POINT

The checkpoints will be spaced every 10 kms around. They will serve in the supply and the score.
The transition to each control station is required for each competitor, under penalty. Medical assistance will be present at each position, and will have as its mission to help, heal or stop a rider fails

Article 8

SUPPLY

The organization is in charge of the supply of liquid and solid to the control points.
To note that each participant must have in their possession their own eco-cup, (in the framework of eco-responsibility).
No tumbler will be made available on the supplies.

Article 9

RANKING

Ranking : the ranking of each step is done by the time achieved and possibly increased penalties received.
The overall ranking is calculated by adding the times obtained (plus, if applicable penalties) to each step.
Team : The team should be made up of 3 riders minimum.
For teams, the classification step is done by the addition of the three best times of the team, plus any applicable penalties. It is the average of these three the best time that will determine the outcome achieved by the team.
The overall ranking is done by the sum of the results obtained by the team on 3 steps.
The team finishing in less than 3 riders will not be taken into account in the general team classification.

Article 10

ABANDONMENT

In case of abandonment, the participant will remain present until the end of the event Eco Trail Morocco, unless otherwise noted (in the case of force majeure or any other imperative emergency at the discretion of the race director).
The competitor may not leave the race without notice to require the clerk of the course and will be required to sign a release official provided by Eco Trail Morocco.

Article 11

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

A medical team chosen by the organization, and composed of doctors, nurses, will be present during the duration of the event and on the ground. It may be out of the race by a competitor as it deems unfit to continue the race.

Article 12

INSURANCE

The organization maintains liability insurance for the duration of the event.
Each competitor participates in the full knowledge of the risks that the conduct of this competition may cause, and releases the organization from any responsibility in the event of a physical failure or accidental, during and after the race.
The certificate of repatriation insurance is mandatory for all participants of the Eco Trail Morocco.

Article 13

The registration fee for the races :

GROUP RATES (from 5 people)

 This price includes : 

• Quatre nuitées (Pension complète, les chambres sont prévues en double)
• The opening ceremony.
• The ceremony Podium.
• The closing ceremony.
• The supplies of liquid and solid.
• Bus transfers during the race.
• Animations for each evening during the event.
• Medical assistance during the race.
• Promotion and dissemination of the ECO TRAIL MOROCCO throughout the year.
• The medal, t-shirt and race bib.
• The logistics.
• Flat water is supplied by the organization during the event (drinks table not included).
• Public liability insurance for the duration of the event.

The registration is done directly on the online platform.
(The fees are the responsibility of the participant)

Article 14

CANCELLATION Of COMMITMENT

The cancellation request must be made by registered letter to the organization in order to avoid any dispute.
Any request for cancellation, less than three months before the original departure date of the Eco Trail Morocco will be switched on the next edition of the Eco Trail in Morocco and will not be subject to any refund.
Eco Trail Morocco has not taken out cancellation insurance.
We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance personal.
For any refund request, it is necessary to provide a supporting document.
. The cancellation fee for participating are the following :

  • 500 DH (50€) will be retained for the costs of the case in the event of abandonment .
  • Past the date of 15/01/2026 at midnight, the registration will be switched on the next edition of the Eco Trail Morocco, no refund request will not be accepted.

Article 15

IMAGE RIGHTS

The organizer reserves the exclusive rights in relation to the photo coverage and video of the Eco Trail Morocco. By participating in the Eco Trail Morocco, the competitor agrees that the organiser to use his or her image (promotion, advertising, etc...) in the world

Article 17

REPORT – MODIFICATION – CANCELLED

In case of postponement due to constraints related to cases of force majeure,
impediments of the organization to realize for all-cause (natural disasters, epidemics, prohibition of the prefecture, etc.) and the list is not exhaustive, the event will be moved to a deferral of later date.
In the absence of the competitor to participate in the deferral date, they will be allowed to participate on one of the following two editions of the Eco Trail Morocco according to his choice.
It will be made or refund, or compensation, or compensation, related to the state of affairs referred to in this article, dependent or independent of the control of the promoter.

Article 17

CHANGES

The organization reserves the right to change the time or the day of departure, or all or part of the course, the result of an event beyond its control, or motivated by the safety of participants and staff.

Article 19

PENALTIES

1. Lack of medical certificate on the day of the check (start refused).
2. Lack of individual insurance on the day of the check (start refused).
3. Absence de pièce d’identité au contrôle le 14 Avril 2026 (pénalité de 30 minutes), le concurrent devra néanmoins justifier de son identité avant le départ (à l’appréciation du directeur de course).
4. Lack of camelbak (30-minute penalty).
5. Missed checkpoints: One hour penalty for each of the first two offenses, disqualification upon the third missed checkpoint.

Article 20

The runner must have informed themselves of any medical contraindications that may apply to them, and accordingly, releases the organization (including medical and technical staff) from all responsibility for any medical issues, accidents, or other incidents that may occur during the week of the event.

Article 21

RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

As part of the ECO TRAIL MOROCCO, participants are required to respect the environment, especially the natural areas crossed during the race. **It is strictly forbidden to leave any type of waste along the route.**

Article 22

Every participant acknowledges having read these regulations and accepts all the clauses.
